A walnut desk with presence. The top is American black walnut plywood: dark, characterful walnut with continuous grain, finished in hard-wax oil that brings out its depth. Set on black box-hairpin legs, it lands as a modern take on mid-century, where warm wood meets sharp, clean lines.

American black walnut on an AA-grade Baltic birch plywood core makes the top flatter and more stable than a solid board of the same thickness, which could cup or move as the seasons change. The box-hairpin legs take the classic hairpin shape in heavy-gauge steel tube, finished in satin black, for a more substantial stance than a thin round rod.

Your top arrives un-drilled. We include a free Premium Drilling Kit that makes the fixing holes foolproof: mark the centres, drill the pilot holes, then screw the legs on by hand. Anyone with a drill can do it in a few minutes. Prefer not to drill? Choose our pre-drilling service at checkout and your top arrives with the holes ready, so fitting the legs is just a screwdriver and the provided screws.
